Tuesdays, 6-9 pm, January 8 - 29, 2008

Learn the elements of the art of Japanese flower arranging and how to complement it with ceramic aesthetics. This 4-week workshop will include instruction on floral arrangements, basic slab-building processes and wheel throwing for more advanced ceramicists. Pieces created during this workshop will also be considered for inclusion in a greenhouse-based installation being held during the NCECA conference.
Tuition- $60, Materials- $50

The greatest dining experiences are not just about what we smell and taste, they also involve touch, sight and sound. Learn to create ceramics that will enhance the diner's sensory experience, and create functional pieces for your own home. Class demonstrations will include slab building and wheel throwing as well as a special lesson on food presentation.

Join MCG and our international visiting artists for a special one-day workshop. Learn from Japanese master ceramicists Hiromu and Mieko Okuda, and then stay for lunch and MCG Japanese arts and culture family day!
Tuition- $30. PPS teachers eligible for tuition waiver. PA educators may earn Act 48 credits.
