Put A Handle On It

Course 8 weeks, Tuesdays, February 6 - March 27 

This class will focus on the basics of wheel thrown pottery and have the students create mugs and cylinder vase forms. The students will also learn how to create handles of various sizes using a variety of techniques, and how to attach the handles to the forms they have created. Open to all students.

Luminaries

Course 8 weeks, Wednesdays, February 7 - March 28

Create original works of art that will really light up your life! Students will create two hollow forms out of clay that will be illuminated from inside. One will be a candle luminary and the other an electric lamp base with a light bulb. Various hand building techniques wil be explored as well as carving and surface decoration. Open to all students.

Whimsical Animal Sculptures

Course 8 weeks, 16 classes, Thursdays and Fridays, February 8 - March 30

This is a two day course where students will learn basic and advanced hand building techniques. Students will use Earthenware clay and newspaper armatures to create amusing animal sculptures. This course also includes a trip to the zoo on Friday, February 9th. Sign-Up During Enrollment! Open to all students.
