Develop your observation skills through this portraiture course. Using a variety of drawing materials including conte crayon, charcoal and graphite, you will create realistic and expressive self portraits. If you are thinking about a career in the arts, this course is a must.

Textiles
10 week course
Class meets: Wednesdays, September 14 - November 16
Work with batik, screen printing and dying processes to create your own one-of-a-kind apparel and decorative pieces. Open to all students.

Portfolio Development
10 week course
Class meets: Thursdays, September 15 - November 17
Are you thinking about a career in the arts? Organizing your work into a portfolio is a critical step for anyone interested in pursuing art beyond high school. This course will help you build on your art making skills, think about art more critically and develop the vocabulary to talk about your ideas with confidence. This course includes a trip to the National Portfolio Day where you can meet admissions representatives from art schools and universities.
