FIRST QUARTER

Video Haiku
Instructor: Jill Wiggins

7 week course, Tuesday and Wednesdays: September 12 – October 25
There is poetry in motion. And motion in poetry for that matter. Learn to shoot, capture, and edit video in the structure of haiku and other forms of poetry. You’ll be free to use random clips or ones that have meaning. Let your creativity run wild. Open to all students.

Charchoalamation
Instructor: Ryan Murray

7 week course, Thursdays: September 14 – October 24
Want to bring your drawings to life? Create animations using a camera to document changes you make to a single charcoal drawing over time. Draw, erase, and redraw to set the world of your drawings into motion. Learn how to draw for the purposes of animation, and use Adobe Premiere to edit and compile your video. Open to all students.

Photoshop Creations
Instructor: Keith Hershberger

7 week course, Thursdays: September 14 – October 24
Explore the exciting world of graphic design! Layer images and text together in Adobe Photoshop to design products like greeting cards, boxes, CD covers and business cards, then sell your work at the Annual MCG Holiday Sale. Open to all students.

E-Cards: FLASH

2 Quarters - 13 week course, Friday, September 15 – January 12
Get a jump on the holiday season! Create holiday electronic greeting cards, specifically designed for your friends and family. Collect a variety of photos or draw enjoyable graphics using Adobe Photoshop, animate them in Flash, and create accompanying sounds or your own voice narratives using Acid and Garage Band. You’ll walk away with animated e-card files to attach to e-mails, post on the web or burn onto CDs for personal use. Open to all students.
