Silent Movies
Instructor: Jill Wiggins
10 week course, Mondays, March 6 – May 22
Make your own Silent Movie complete with melodramatic acting, black and white video, and special effects to make them look old! Silent movies were over-acted because of the lack of sound. People had to know what was going on so the actors and actresses had to really ham it up! You’ll add titles and player piano music to enhance your movie. Whether you’re an “aspiring filmmaker” or a “drama queen” come and have fun making silent movies. Open to all students.
Mission Impossible
Instructor: Keith Hershberger
9 week course, Tuesdays, March 7 – May 23
This is your mission (should you choose to accept it): steal back the plans for the Doomsday Machine from the criminal mastermind – slay the dragon – break into the high security prison to rescue your friends who are being held captive there. You must use cunning, stealth, and advanced Adobe Photoshop techniques to complete your mission. You will collect the tools you need, take strategic digital photographs, and then create a sequence of images to show action so that the story will play out before your eyes. Students taking this course must have experience in Adobe Photoshop.
